Looking to import bluetooth GPS receivers to Australia. We open to any brand of receiver, we not after any particular model. The main feature we looking for is 5hz update rate. I would possibly like a receiver with tracking abilities and the ability to save points to the receiver and download to a computer later. An example of this would be the Qstars Q1000 Bluetooth GPS travel recorder, or an example without the recorder but still having 5hz, would be a Qstars Q818 or Q810. We looking for a receiver which is as cheap as possible while still having a 5hz update rate. The reason for this is we marketing this product primarily to the target audience of any age, who purchase products spontaneously due to low price or value for money. Currently in Australia GPS navigation is just starting to hit the market strongly, more people are owning GPS receivers than before, but most of the GPS receivers being used are of the navigation type with a small screen. We going to market this Bluetooth GPS receiver as an alternative to the common GPS navigation with small screen. Currently i have a number of customers interested and a great potential with many more customers. With the new mobile phones available in Australia almost all are capable of running GPS navigation software, which opens up the market again, owners of mobile phones could use these receivers for navigation on their mobile phones. As GPS is still a relatively new concept in Australia, some people would not spend lots of money on it. By selling the receivers at the cheapest possible price, if it is low enough people will purchase due to the low price, and a low price will attract the impulse buyers who are easily sold on products that are at a good price. If i can import receivers for a low enough price these people will be a large portion of my target market. We interested in receivers which have anb update rate of 5hz because no other receivers in Australia currently have 5hz, all others are only 1hz. If the receivers i sell have 5hz it will be a big advantage over the opposition. Also by having tracking and recording abilities it will broaden the market more by including people who could use the receiver to log where they have been, for example when going for a run around the city they can log their positions, download to a computer later and see where they have run. The same for people going for a drive, they can save locations on where they have been. This is something that has to be weighed up, there will be a more broader target market because of tracking and recording, but some of the market lost because of a higher cost. At first we looking to import around 5-10 receivers so i can inspect the product, thoroughly test under Australian conditions, start marketing the product, and research the interest in the market. After this is done i will be looking to import in quantities of 50 or 100, whichever quantity is best for you. Could i please ask you to supply some prices and options, we open to any brand and any features, the main requirements, 5hz and lowest possible price. Could i please have a few different prices and variations of some with tracking / recording, some without this feature, and also some with 1hz update rate and lowest possible price. I will let you decide which brands and models will suit my needs. In regards to shipping is Ocean freight an option? I ask this to try and lower shipping costs and therefore lower the price of the product being passed onto the customer. Could i please have a price for both Air and Ocean freight if possible?
